§ Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy.

1. Who we are

Kyro Social (“Kyro,” “we,” “us,” “our”) operates a network connecting micro-influencer creators with brand sponsorship opportunities. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you apply to join the Kyro creator network or interact with our website at kyrosocial.com.

If you have questions about this policy, contact us at hello@kyrosocial.com.

2. What we collect

When you submit a creator application, we collect:

  • Identity information: your full name, email address, and phone number
  • Social media information: your handles and follower/subscriber counts for Instagram, TikTok, and/or YouTube
  • Professional information: your content niche, rate per post, preferred payment method, where you’re open to promoting, and any notes you provide
  • Location information: the city and state you provide (we do not collect precise geolocation)
  • Communication preferences: your preferred contact method (email or text) and whether you’ve consented to SMS communications
  • Marketing attribution: how you heard about us, if you choose to share
  • Technical information collected automatically: your IP address, browser type and version, device information, and the date and time of your submission

We do not collect Social Security numbers, government ID numbers, financial account numbers, or other sensitive personal information through the application form. If we collect payment information later in the relationship (for paying you), that collection will be described separately at the point of collection.

3. How we use your information

We use the information you provide to:

  • Review and evaluate your application to join the Kyro creator network
  • Contact you about your application status
  • If accepted, match you with relevant brand sponsorship opportunities
  • Communicate with you about campaigns, content briefs, payment, and platform updates
  • Pay you for completed sponsored work
  • Improve our services and understand how creators are finding us
  • Comply with legal obligations, including tax reporting (e.g., issuing 1099 forms when required)
  • Protect against fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access

4. SMS communications

If you consent to receive text messages by checking the SMS consent box on the application form, we may send you texts about brand briefs, verification codes, payment confirmations, and other platform-related communications. Consent is not a condition of your application being approved.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates from your carrier may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for help.

If you opt out of SMS, we’ll continue to contact you via email about your account, campaigns, and payments.

5. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information.

We share your information in limited circumstances:

  • With brand partners: when you are matched to a campaign, we share relevant information from your application (such as your handle, follower count, niche, and rate) with the brand running that campaign. Brands may not redistribute this information.
  • With service providers: we use third-party vendors to help us operate, including cloud storage and hosting providers (for storing applications and powering the website), payment processors (for paying you), communications tools (email and, if applicable, SMS providers), and tracking and analytics providers (for measuring application volume and campaign performance). These providers only access information as needed to perform services for us and are bound by confidentiality obligations.
  • For legal reasons: we may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or court order, or if necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
  • In a business transfer: if Kyro is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We’ll notify you before that happens.

6. How long we keep your information

We retain your information for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, after which we delete or anonymize it. Specifically:

  • Active creators: while you are an active member of the Kyro network, plus a reasonable post-termination window
  • Tax and payment records: if you have received payment from us, we retain payment-related records (your name, contact information, and payment history) for at least 7 years after your last payment, as required by U.S. tax law (e.g., for 1099 reporting and IRS recordkeeping)
  • Rejected or inactive applications: if your application is not accepted, or if you are accepted but never participate in a campaign, we generally delete or anonymize your information within 24 months
  • Aggregated or anonymized data: we may retain aggregated, anonymized information (with no ability to identify you) indefinitely for analytics, reporting, and business planning

You can request earlier deletion of your information at any time (see “Your rights” below), subject to records we are legally required to retain.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information. We honor these rights for all U.S. applicants regardless of state of residence:

  • Access: you can request a copy of the information we have about you
  • Correction: you can request that we correct inaccurate information
  • Deletion: you can request that we delete your information, subject to our legal recordkeeping obligations
  • Opt-out of marketing: you can unsubscribe from marketing emails and SMS at any time
  • Portability: you can request a copy of your information in a portable format

To make a request, email us at hello@kyrosocial.com. We’ll respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before processing certain requests.

California residents: in addition to the rights above, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives you the right to know what categories of personal information we collect, the right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights, and the right to opt out of the “sale” of personal information (we do not sell personal information).

8. Children’s privacy

Kyro Social is intended for users 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from someone under 18, we will delete it. If you believe we have collected information from a minor, please contact us.

9. Data security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including using secure cloud services, restricting access to your information to authorized team members and service providers, and following industry-standard security practices. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If we become aware of a security incident affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

10. International users

Kyro Social is operated from the United States and serves U.S.-based creators only. We do not target our services to individuals located in the European Union, United Kingdom, or other jurisdictions outside the United States. If you are not located in the United States, please do not submit an application or provide personal information through our website.

We do not knowingly process the personal information of EU/UK residents and have not implemented the specific compliance infrastructure required by the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), UK GDPR, or similar non-U.S. privacy laws. If we expand our services internationally in the future, we will update this policy accordingly.

Our U.S. privacy compliance approach. We aim to honor the substantive privacy rights granted by U.S. state privacy laws (including California’s CCPA/CPRA, Colorado’s CPA, Connecticut’s CTDPA, Virginia’s VCDPA, Utah’s UCPA, Texas’s TDPSA, Florida’s FDBR, Oregon’s OCPA, and similar laws) for all U.S. applicants regardless of state of residence. This includes rights of access, correction, deletion, and opt-out described in Section 7. Specific state laws may grant additional rights — if you are a resident of a state with broader rights, contact us and we will work with you to honor them.

11. Cookies and similar tracking technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies (such as pixels, web beacons, and local storage) to operate our website, understand how it’s used, and improve your experience. This section describes what we use and may use.

Essential cookies and technologies. These are necessary for the website to function (e.g., remembering your form state if you reload the page). They cannot be disabled and do not require your consent.

Analytics. We use analytics tools to understand how visitors find and interact with our site — which pages they visit, where they came from, and which calls to action are working. This helps us improve the site and our outreach. These tools may use cookies and may share information (such as IP address, browser type, and pages viewed) with the analytics provider.

Advertising and conversion tracking. We may use third-party advertising and conversion tracking technologies (for example, from social media platforms like Meta, TikTok, or Google) to measure the effectiveness of our outreach and recruitment, retarget visitors who don’t complete an application, and find similar audiences. These technologies may share information with the advertising platforms, including your IP address, the fact that you visited our site, and (if you submit an application) the fact that you converted. Some of this sharing may be considered “selling” or “sharing” of personal information under certain U.S. state privacy laws (such as California’s CCPA).

Postback and attribution tracking. When you submit an application, we may pass an anonymous identifier (not your personal information) to internal or third-party tracking systems so we can measure which marketing channels and outreach efforts are working.

Your choices.

  • Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through your settings.
  • Many advertising platforms let you opt out of personalized advertising. You can also use industry opt-out tools like the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out page or the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out.
  • We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information.
  • California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and certain other state residents have the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for targeted advertising. To exercise this right, email us at hello@kyrosocial.com.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll note the date of any changes on this page. For material changes, we may also notify you by email. Your continued use of the Kyro Social services after the changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
